Bobcats Fall to Symmes Landing, 44-61, in Season’s First Road Loss
SYMMES LANDING, OHIO – The Hobart High Bobcats dropped their first road game of the season Wednesday, falling to the Symmes Landing Cougars 61-44 in a contest that felt closer than the final score suggested for about three quarters.
Hobart trailed by six at halftime before the Cougars went on a 14-2 run in the third that the Bobcats never recovered from. Kevin Prater finished with 18 points but was held scoreless in the fourth quarter. The team shot 6 for 22 from the floor in the second half.
“We got tight,” said Coach Messer. “Road games in that gym are hard. We’ll look at the film and come back sharper.”
Hobart stands at 7-3 on the season and returns home Friday against Leadville.
