Local Basset Hound Walks to Symmes River and Back, Becomes Neighborhood Hero

ALMA, OHIO – A 9-year-old basset hound named Mr. Pickles completed what neighbors estimate was a 17-mile trek to the Symmes River and back last Wednesday. The journey, reportedly witnessed by five separate mail carriers, has made Mr. Pickles something of a local celebrity. It took him approximately 6 days.

“He just got up and left, then came back wet,” said owner Denise Lambert. “We’re proud of him.
